HANSEN FOUNDATION
NEW FUND MATCHING INITIATIVE
Inspired by the legacy of Mr. Hansen himself, the Dane G. Hansen Foundation (DGH) is offering up to ten $2,000 matching grants for the development of 10 new qualifying funds established with the Graham County Community Foundation (GCCF) in 2025, 2026, and 2027, respectively.
Utilizing Patterson Family Foundation funds received as a result of the successful 2024 April Match Month Campaign, GCCF will be adding an additional $1,000 in matching grants to each new fund developed as part of this initiative. This provides a potential for $3,000 worth of match money per fund.
How Does It Work?
-
Who’s eligible? Everyone! Any donor, family, business or organization with philanthropic wishes!
-
Goal: Create a new fund ($10,000 minimum)
-
How? Donate and/or fundraise $7,000+ and receive $3,000 total in Matching Funds from DGH & GCCF!
Important Details
-
If you are unable to reach the $10,000 minimum in the first year (12-month period), you will have three additional years to raise the funds to that threshold.
-
If the $10,000 endowment threshold is not met at the end of those 3 years, all funds will be transferred to the principal amount of GCCF’s, unrestricted grant fund, the Graham County Endowment Fund.
-
Scholarship funds and certain donor-advised funds (DAFs) do not qualify for this program.
-
Each fund can only receive a match once during the three-year program period.
This is an important opportunity to make a bigger impact with your gift and help build lasting resources for the betterment of Graham County.

ENDOWMENT FUND EXPLAINED
An endowed fund is a permanent fund where the principal is invested and only the earnings are used to support charitable causes, ensuring a lasting impact over time. Endowed funds are ideal for donors seeking to create a legacy of giving for generations to come.
A $10,000 minimum amount is required to endow funds with GCCF. Endowed funds will provide benefits to Graham County in perpetuity, creating a sustainable foundation for future growth and development. A $10,000 fund allows for approximately $500 per year to grant out forever. With the continued potential to continually grow the fund and its earnings in the future.
